Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Children and extra bed policy

Children of any age are allowed. An extra bed for children up to 12 years is free of charge. A cot for children up to 2 years is free of charge.

Cleanliness

Multiple guests reported cleanliness issues: moldy shower head, a dirty/toilet blocked on arrival, a dusty nightstand and generally dated bathroom finishes. Cleanliness is a clear weakness in some rooms.

Service

Service is generally praised ("staff could not do enough", helpful spa staff) but there are inconsistent experiences at check-in and with staff language/responsiveness. Overall helpful but variable.

Location

Location and grounds are repeatedly praised (lovely grounds, well located for the airport, historic setting). Some guests noted limited access to the grounds unless playing golf and sparse signposting.

Room Quality

Rooms are often described as large and comfortable, but several guests reported tired or dated rooms and bathrooms in need of refresh; mixed but generally good.

Amenities

Spa, pool, saunas and other leisure facilities are a strong positive (clean changing rooms, warm pool, excellent spa experience). Outdoor seating and clearer wayfinding would improve the offering.
